Dr. Cui Yanshan, associate professor of CRE, has finished his visiting research in Soil Quality Department, Wageningen University in the Netherlands since February, 2011 through February, 2012. During this one-year visit, Dr. Cui worked with Prof. Willem Van Riemsdijk and Dr. Weng Liping in the group of soil chemistry and chemical soil quality for the analysis of heavy metals and iron in the soil samples collected both from China and from Netherlands. They also performed much modeling work basing on the acquired data and obtained very interesting results. Dr. Cui plans to collaborate with the group of soil chemistry and chemical soil quality in the future. His research was supported by the Stated Scholarship Fund. Also, he believes such collaborations will significantly enhance the research levels and expand the experiences of the faculty in CRE. |
