Course Description:

This 20 hour course aims to give students an understanding in the research status of quantitative remote sensing at home and abroad. The course consists of several lectures which are radiation calibration theory and method for space borne optical remote sensing sensor, remote sensing information models, passive microwave remote sensing of soil moisture and vegetation, global land surface energy balance, GLASS products algorithm based on space remote sensing, global land cover mapping with 30 meter resolution satellite data, estimating forest vegetation 3D structure parameters by multi-sensor remote sensing data, quantitative remote sensing experiment technique etc. By the end of course, students will gain advanced understanding of quantitative remote sensing trends, frontier Hot issue, which is helpful for their future study and research. Every student should submit a report at the end of course which is taken as final exam result.
